My wife was completely devastated as we walked into St Thomas Church, Swansea, on December 22. We discovered that at least four of her immediate family were among the victims of the despicable theft of almost 600 memorial brass plaques.
A worrying factor for us is the response from the insurance company, which says bereaved families must pay for the plaques to be replaced. I find it absolutely amazing that a normal or domestic insurance claim takes weeks and sometimes months to produce a response, but a specialist insurance company - Ecclesiast- ical - can immediately refuse any claim as quickly as they have.See the full content of this document
