TONY Fitzgerald writes (Post, December 18) triumphantly claiming the success achieved by so-called Independents in the 2008 election.
That, in certain seats, the Liberals refused to stand to not split the vote reduces his comments to insignificance. To be truly Independent, voting on each motion according to its merit, is honourable, but sadly it is not to be seen in Swansea.
