A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD who went to the beach on a school trip ended up in hospital after being bitten by an adder.

I've been bitten by an adder at Port Eynon, and it is scary. The swelling grows at an alarming rate. I hope the little lad feels better, and it doesn't put him off going to the beach.
