THE first semi-final in the League Cup competition produced 365 runs, which saw Gorseinon defy the odds to beat South Wales Premier League giants Ammanford by seven wickets.

In successfully chasing a score of 181-2 off 20 overs, Gorseinon were given a flying start with Chris Morgan (73) and Eddie Evans (54) sharing an opening partnership of 126 runs. Josh Simmons chipped in with 33 not out in helping his team knock off the runs with a couple of overs to spare.
