QUIZZED about whether he regretted making the solitary appearance for New Zealand which effectively froze his Test career forever, Regan King is said to have replied that he would rather have won one cap for the All Blacks than 50 for Wales.
It was an apparently tongue-in-cheek remark. But could anyone have blamed the classy midfield playmaker for feeling that way? He certainly wasn't having a dig at Wales, where he spent so many rewarding years playing for the Scarlets.
