SOUTH Wales MPs have called on the Government to rethink plans to impose cuts of 20 per cent on the police following an emergency Commons sitting after the riots across Britain.

Swansea East MP Sian James, Neath MP Peter Hain, Llanelli MP Nia Griffith and Carmarthen East and Dinefwr MP Jonathan Edwards returned to London yesterday to hear from Prime Minister David Cameron about the disturbances that have devastated many areas of the country, including London, Manchester and Birmingham.
