POLICE have issued an appeal to trace witnesses to an alleged assault on a taxi driver in Neath.

The incident happened at 1.20am on Saturday at the junction of Crythan Road and Exchange Road when a 46-year-old male driver was allegedly assaulted after he had cause to stop and leave his vehicle.
