Summary
I Read with incredulity the letter from David Naylor (Have Your Say, January 19) that maintains that at times cyclists can be justified for breaking the law by riding on pavements. I think this attitude reinforces the need for the police to clamp down on cyclists behaviour. If they feel they must use the pavement, cyclists should dismount and push their bikes thus becoming a pedestrian who the pavements are for. Breaking the law is never justified.
The council and the Assembly are bending over backwards to accommodate cyclists to the detriment of pedestrians. Paths are becoming more and more shared between cyclists and pedestrians making many pedestrians fearful of their safety especially the elderly or disabled.See the full content of this document
