VISITORS to a Swansea beach may have been exposed to harmful mustard gas after passers-by found a military shell on the seafront.

Two people involved in removing the device needed hospital treatment after developing symptoms and are now recovering at home. The National Public Health Service for Wales (NPHS) has urged others to come forward if they believe they have been affected.
