Guide Set to Offer a Big Boost for Business As Firms Link Up

SWANSEA business are joining forces in an attempt to increase their public profiles. More than 2,000 companies across the city have signed up to be listed in the new Swansea Business Directory. Swansea Council, which is behind the directory, hopes it will help to develop stronger business links locally and further afield. A spokeswoman for the council said the directory would showcase what Swansea businesses have to offer to other companies across Wales, the UK and overseas. Stuart Taylor, president of the West Wales Chamber of Commerce, has welcomed the directory and outlined the impact it will have on the city's economy.

He said: "The Swansea Business Directory 2009 is an important practical resource for businesses across the region. Guide "Not only does it does it provide an excellent guide to the wide range of goods and services that are available from businesses in Swansea, but it also showcases the many advantages and benefits that the area has to offer for incoming investors." The directory is a reference guide to the products and services of companies trading across Swansea. It is available as a hard copy publication, on CD Rom and online. One of the newest businesses to be listed in this year's publication is Fforestfachbased ChauffeurDrive Swansea. Alex Zapettis, director of the family business, said: "We're a new kid on the block so we're eager to raise our profile.
