JOHN Neil (Have Your Say, August 19) makes the interesting point that Wales has about the same population as England's 'second city' of Birmingham. Yes, but how many world-class actors, singers, boxers, even politicians, has Brum produced compared to Wales? They are not in the same league.
People like Mr Neil seem to be terrified of leaving the embrace of England, yet it is the Welsh who have led Britain into the future in the form of the Tudors, Lloyd George, and Nye Bevan, the founder of the health service.See the full content of this document
