First impressions CURRENTLY at the centre of Swansea's renewed shopping hub taking in Zara, Miss Selfridge -- and soon, H&M -- I was curious to see how the stalwart of the British high street is holding its own.
I can just about remember when this branch had a food hall on its ground floor selling the best bacon anywhere. My, it's changed. Value-for-money seems to be the theme when you walk in these days: loud and brash posters heralding special money-off deals abound. Bhs is a reliable resource for basics such as easy-to-wear skirts, tops and cotton trousers, and their lingerie department is fantastic, but they haven't always been known for their more directional fashion pieces.
