Rene Kinzett should not get too excited about the possibility of ousting Martin Caton MP in Gower (Post, May 28).At present, there is a big backlash against Labour - mainly due to circumstances beyond their control, such as world food prices, energy prices and the housing market.
I'm sure when a General Election comes - especially in Wales - there will be a reluctance to vote Tory when they were responsible for privatisation of public transport, utilities, and encouraging building societies to change into profit-hungry banks, keener to help buy-to-let landlords than first-time buyers.
