A COCKLER is to stand trial accused causing damage in a pub and attacking its landlord on Christmas Day.

Benjamin Rhys Jones, aged 21, of Penyrheol Farm, Penclawdd, is charged with destroying a bar bench containing beer pumps worth around Pounds 1,000 at the Royal Oak pub in Penclawdd, as well as assaulting landlord Steve Davies Jones is also charged with a joint attack on another man with co-defendant Leon Lanfear, aged 21, of Caban Isaac Road, Penclawdd.
