Clydach Library ; Your Poems with Jo Leworthy

Summary

Please come with me into my library Into a world of interest and learning Of reading, of daydreaming and of questioning And lose yourself in the depths of yearning. Come through the doors into another place Where the atmosphere is nicely subdued You'll welcome the quiet and the peace Where you dwell in your own solitude. Admire the hospitality of the library staff Who have more than a pretty face They can tell where any book is placed Even when bending to tie their shoelaces. They can tell you if you've had the book before And tell you when you want the next one If you drop a heavy book on your foot They'll let you quietly have a moan. The book display is set out very well And you really can't go wrong Sometimes when you find your favourite author You may feel like bursting into song.

There's a children's area, computer section at hand And convenient places for meeting rooms Plenty of relaxing chairs around And also plenty of leg room. It certainly was a bonus to the village When the library appeared on the street A place to relax, a place to visit And a place where friends could meet. Just to stand in there and admire the contents And savour what's on display Maybe if you stay for quite some time you May have some tea and scones on a tray. It's a real "little gem" in the centre of Clydach And a provider for both young and old A warm welcome awaits all who go there Why not pop in from the hot or cold? So keep up the good work Clydach Library We're better off with you than without you And let's hope membership will greatly increase Because in the end, it's all down to you.
