Chaos at End of School Run ; Have Your Say

Summary

S ANDERSON (Have Your Say, January 1) describes how to recognise a dull driver. The best place to look for one is outside virtually any school at the beginning and end of the school day. You will see them parked on zig-zags and across pavements, endangering not only children attending the school but also anyone else unlucky enough to be passing that way.

Although my local school was only built a couple of years ago, the architect forgot to provide drive-through classrooms. There is plenty of safe parking available at the kerbside just up the road, but presumably a 200 yard walk down West Cross Lane and back again is more than many parents can cope with. So they park just anywhere, provided it is within 20 paces of the school building.
