SWANSEA'S Jaz Carlin stepped out of the shadows of Rebecca Adlington and Jo Jackson last night to produce a memorable second leg in the 4x200m freestyle relay to help Britain to Budapest bronze.

Carlin produced the quickest split of the four British girls, clocking 1.57.85 as the quartet of Adlington, Jackson and Hannah Miley grabbed the final place on the podium at the European Championships.
