Summary
I WONDER how many readers of this section will recognise themselves in this letter. Today I have experienced three potential disasters on the road within the space of half an hour.
On my way to the Co-op in Mumbles to buy some milk I drove to the junction of my road, and when I was just a couple of yards away a large car came swerving around from the left. Soon after I found myself driving behind another car. When we arrived through Patti Cutting, the car in front suddenly stopped in the middle of the road, no signal or indication of what was causing her to stop suddenly, so I signalled and pulled out to overtake her. I noticed she switched on her right indicator as I was about three quarters of the way past her. What was going on inside that driver's head? On my way back from picking up my milk and approaching my road I ind1icated a right turn and proceeded into my road, to be greeted, as usual, by a large van parked in front of the second home on the left, there is also a bend in the road at this point blanking out any oncoming traffic. When I was about three quarters of the way past overtaking the parked van, a small car came zooming towards me, giving me barely enough space in which to pull. These days one has to be a mind reader and be ever alert to idiots on the road. Some of the antics make me wonder if these drivers have passed a driving test.See the full content of this document
