DRINKERS at a busy city pub wrestled a man to the ground after he assaulted the landlady for confiscating his glass. James Edwards, of Alder Way, West Cross, was arrested after going for an afternoon drink at the Uplands Tavern on May 7. The 39-year-old appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court where he admitted the "cowardly" attack on landlady Lesley King, by grabbing her from behind as she walked away from him and putting his arm around her shoulder and neck.
Restrained CCTV images from the pub played to the court showed fellow drinkers move in to subdue Edwards following the assault, who was restrained while police were called.See the full content of this document
