I THINK it is unacceptable animal testing still takes place for cosmetics and that a 2013 deadline to ban the import and sale of cosmetics tested on animals may be delayed.
Almost all types of animal testing for cosmetics have been banned but three types were allowed until 2013 for imports because available alternatives have not been taken up by the cosmetics industry outside Europe.
