Awol Soldiers Damage Units ; Have Your Say
IN response to Alan Thompson's comments in Saturday's Post -- have you ever served in the military? To applaud a soldier who has decided to go absent without leave is absolutely crazy. AWOL has a damaging effect to a unit's morale and combat power. Did Mr Thompson stop to think that the rest of that soldier's platoon would then have had to do more patrols, more guard duties, not to mention the effect of not having his "boots on the ground" would have had? Welsh Learning Down to Choice ; Have Your Say
AH LLOYD (Have Your Say, July 15) believes that children in Welsh state schools should continue to be forced to attend Welsh lessons, meaning that parents and children should continue to be denied freedom of choice. So while this is happening in Wales, schoolchildren in the rest of the UK are having the benefit of extra lessons in other, useful subjects such as English, Geography, History, Science, and more.

The buzz words for this new approach are the 'Economic Renewal Programme'.
