Spurs Beat Hull to Cup

TOTTENHAM won the Barclays Asia Trophy after comfortably beating Premier League rivals Hull City 3-0 at Beijing's Workers' Stadium yesterday. A brace from captain Robbie Keane and a late Aaron Lennon strike secured the win in a game Spurs dominated for almost the full 90 minutes.

SWANSEA councillors were labelled extremists by political rivals as the row over compulsory sterilisation rumbled on. Bbc to Increase Welsh News Coverage

THE BBC is to increase its Welsh news coverage with more bulletins at weekends and improved coverage at breakfast and in the late evening, under plans announced yesterday. The corporation pledged to produce more "landmark" factual programmes in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and an annual "state of the nation/region" journalism initiative in each nation and region of the UK.
